Insured persons aged 18 and over diagnosed with diabetes mellitus are eligible for a contribution of up to CZK 3,000 for professional foot care treatment (up to CZK 500 per session), specifically for professional podiatric pedicure or treatment provided by a nurse with a podiatric qualification.
The pedicure or treatment must always be provided by a podiatric service provider certified by the Czech Podiatric Society or by a podologic service provider certified by the Czech Podologic Society.
Example of how the contribution can be used:
You can apply for the contribution in up to two applications per year (for example, if the contribution limit is CZK 3,000, you can apply once for the full amount, or twice — e.g. CZK 2,000 and later CZK 1,000).
Payment receipts dated from 1 January 2026 are accepted. When submitting your application, the receipts must be no older than 3 months from the payment date (for multiple receipts, the 3-month period is counted from the last payment date).

The contribution may be claimed in up to two applications per year.

A Contribution up to CZK 1,500 is available to insured persons of any age diagnosed with diabetes mellitus for participation in educational stays:

The stays must be organized by a patient organization that holds a recommendation from the Czech Diabetes Society of the Czech Medical Association JEP (ČDS ČLS JEP), including an approved general programme framework and a detailed schedule of educational activities, as well as information on staffing provided by the organizers. Currently, these include:
• PaciMed Praha – Branch association of VŠTJ Medicina Praha, z.s.
• Association of Parents and Friends of Diabetic Children in the Czech Republic, z.s.
Payment documents with a date of payment from 1 January 2026 onwards are accepted. When submitting an application for the contribution, the end date of the educational stay must not be more than three months prior to the date of application submission.

Gluten-free diet:
Contribution of CZK 8,000 per year for gluten-free food or gluten-free school meals in 2026.
Eligible for children up to 18 years or students up to 26 years with dependent child status and a confirmed diagnosis of celiac disease (ICD code K 90.0).
Low-protein diet:
- Contribution of CZK 12,000 per year for low-protein, lactose-free, or gluten-free food purchased in 2026.
- Eligible for children up to 18 years or students up to 26 years with dependent child status and a confirmed diagnosis of the following hereditary metabolic disorders:
- E70.0 Classical phenylketonuria
- E70.1 Other hyperphenylalaninemias
- E70.2 Disorders of tyrosine metabolism
- E71.0 Maple syrup urine disease
- E71.1 Other disorders of branched-chain amino acid metabolism
- E72.1 Disorders of sulfur-containing amino acid metabolism
- E72.2 Disorders of the urea cycle metabolism
- E72.3 Disorders of lysine and hydroxylysine metabolism
Application periods
Applications may be submitted twice a year:
- 1st half-year (1 Jan – 30 Jun 2026): first half of the contribution (CZK 4,000 for gluten-free diet / CZK 6,000 for low-protein diet)
- via Moje VZP app from 1 Feb 2026
- via other submission methods from 1 Jan 2026
- 2nd half-year (1 Jul – 31 Dec 2026): second half of the contribution (CZK 4,000 / CZK 6,000)
- via Moje VZP app no later than 31 Dec 2026
- via other submission methods no later than 30 Nov 2026
Unused amounts from the 1st half-year cannot be carried over to the 2nd half-year. The contribution can only be claimed once per half-year.
